- Subject: Sales Lead for barnesandnoble.com
- Name: Joe Fox
- Employees: 1000+
- How can we help you: New site launching soon using Next.js and we are thinking about using Vercel to host. I would like more information about the Enterprise option.
Response:
Thank you for contacting Vercel and for your interest! I am happy to provide information on Vercel's Enterprise option.
Vercel's global infrastructure lets you test, preview, and deploy your application without having to manage web servers. As a result, you can go from amazing ideas to production quickly. Such development will revolutionize your Frontend Engineering team.
The way you build your website matters. A TON can stand in the way of shipping high-quality software quickly. Time is wasted due to slow build times and drawn-out iteration cycles. Before you know it, your team can end up spending too much time and effort on configuration and servers.
This is where Vercel can revolutionize your performance. We provide highly personalized support for our Enterprise customers, a large variety of time-saving features, and collaboration tools to help your engineering teams move quickly to produce fantastic software.
You want to focus on delivering a phenomenal experience to your users. Vercel makes that dream a reality.
For large companies such as Barnes and Noble, you need high performance, collaboration, and security. Vercel's Enterprise option meets those needs.
Vercel prides itself on open-source when possible to help new team members get up to speed and contribute quickly. Vercel supports over 35 frameworks so developers can use the tools they love. With a vibrant open source community, teams can produce excellent products rapidly.
Vercel has a mission to improve build speeds at every step. We provide easy integration with GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, as well as a built-in CI/CD. We also offer zero-configuration deploys. Our easy-to-understand infrastructure encourages collaboration and moving fast.
You can use the time saved for more creative frontends. You can invest in the user's experience rather than configuration woes.
You can also collaborate quickly using tools like Vercel's Preview URLs to help different teams discuss ideas and concerns. We also provide Next.js Live so your team can discuss real-time issues, further decreasing development time.
The following are considerations you probably have:
-
What infrastructure does Vercel use? The Vercel Edge Network and deployment platform primarily use Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the ability to route traffic to the nearest edge in case of an AWS outage.
To ensure uptime on our application, Vercel uses CosmosDB to store and globally replicate data (this is different from our Edge Network).
-
Does Vercel backup data on its platform? Of course! We backup data hourly, and each backup is persisted for a month. All backups are stored separately in a storage service, and backups are globally replicated for resiliency to be prepared for regional disasters. In addition, our backups are regularly tested by our highly experienced Vercel engineers.
-
What about protection?
- Vercel encrypts data at rest (AES-256) and in transit (HTTPS/TLS) to keep sensitive information hidden.
- Vercel provides Password Protection and SSO Protection for our Pro and Enterprise customers to Preview and Production deployments.
- Vercel does not store our customers' personal credit card information. We use Stripe to process transactions securely.
- Vercel Enterprise customers are covered by two types of DDoS protection to ensure your website is always safe from malicious attacks. We provide both automated prevention and direct communication with our Customer Success Managers to ensure your site is always protected.
- For more information on the protection we provide, feel free to reach out to our Security Team. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have to ensure we fully meet your needs.
Vercel is a global deployment network using Serverless technology while using sandboxing and isolation to ensure each customer has their virtual machine. What is more, Enterprise Teams have their build infrastructure providing isolation from Hobby or Pro accounts.
What about security? Vercel makes sure that websites are securely hosted. We use HTTPS/SSL by default. We also conduct regular penetration testing, vulnerability scans, daily code reviews, static analysis checks, and dependency vulnerability scans through GitHub and Vanta. As an Enterprise customer, you will have access to all of Vercel's latest pen test reports.
In conclusion, I believe the Enterprise option will exceed your expectations, ensuring successful website launches and customer satisfaction. I would love to schedule a time to discuss in more depth what Vercel provides with our Enterprise Plan and any questions you might have. Feel free to contact me at (111)-111-1111 or email me at myemail@email.com.
Sales Inquiry: Would Pro or Enterprise fit better for my team?
- Subject: Sales Lead for hipcamp.com
- Name: Melissa Wright
- Employees: 10-100
- How can we help you: We are looking to re-platform our site and are considering Vercel. Would like to evaluate options to see if Pro or Enterprise would fit out needs better. Timeline is Q3. Can you help?
Response:
Thank you for contacting Vercel and for considering our services! I am happy to answer any questions you might have about our Pro and Enterprise options.
The Pro option may be a good fit with a company of your size (small to mid-level). Pro is for smaller teams with moderated bandwidth and collaboration requirements.
First, consider what requirements are most important for your company:
- Do you need a higher level of security than HTTPS/SSL and DDoS Mitigation?
- Do you need customized support and a dedicated Customer Success Engineer?
- Do you need to deploy more than 3,000 times per day?
- Regarding scale, do you need custom bandwidth greater than 1TB?
- Do you have more than 5,000 source images you need to optimize?
- Do you have more than ten projects connected per Git Repository?
If your questions to any of the above answers are YES you would be a good candidate for our Enterprise option.
In a nutshell, both Pro and Enterprise options could work for your company. However, the most significant difference are the points listed above and the level of customization and support you receive. For example, with our Pro option, you are provided email support. In contrast, the Enterprise option includes support for SLA, advanced support and onboarding, a dedicated Customer Sucess Engineer, and code audits and professional services.
I would love to schedule a time to discuss in more depth what Vercel provides with our Pro and Enterprise options and answer any questions you might have. Feel free to contact me at (111)-111-1111 or email me at myemail@email.com.
